Redmagic 12 Pro+ launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, First-ever 185Hz display and RGB Liquid Cooling system
Redmagic has officially launched its latest flagship gaming smartphone in China, the Redmagic 12 Pro+.
The device brings several notable hardware upgrades to the mobile gaming space, including an active RGB liquid-cooling system, an uninterrupted 185Hz under-display camera display and an 8,400mAh battery.
For international buyers, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will make its global debut on 3 November 2026.
Redmagic 12 Pro+ specs and features
On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.85-inch AMOLED display with 2688 x 1216 pixels resolution. The display also features a 185Hz refresh rate and a 0.96mm ultra-narrow bezels.
For gaming responsiveness, the Synaptics touch controller provides an average 500Hz global touch sampling rate and up to 5,000Hz instantaneous sampling.
It also incorporates Magic Touch 4.0 with wet-hand touch support and dual capacitive shoulder triggers with a 700Hz touch sampling rate for multi-finger controls.
Under the hood, the Redmagic 12 Pro+ runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor paired with RedCore R5 gaming chip and Gaming Energy CUBE Engine 4.0. Memory and storage options reach up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.
To handle demanding visuals, the device integrates Redmagic’s proprietary RedCore R5 gaming chip alongside the Gaming Energy CUBE Engine 4.0. This dedicated silicon powers full-scene ray tracing, ambient occlusion, global illumination and 2K resolution enhancement, while delivering frame interpolation at up to 185Hz across supported first-person shooter, racing and MOBA titles.
Thermal management is handled by the AquaCore Cooling System 3.0, highlighted by an industry-first circular RGB liquid-cooling module on the rear with lighting that syncs to gameplay.
Internal cooling hardware comprises a dual-crystal micro-pump, fluorinated coolant, a dual-loop channel, Liquid Metal 4.0, a 4D Ice-Steps vapour chamber, graphene sheets and an internal TurboFan 5.0.
The fan spins up to 25,500 RPM and features dedicated dust protection along with an IPX8 water-resistance rating.
The device also comes with an upgraded built-in PC emulator that lets you sign into your Steam accounts to play select PC games directly on the smartphone, depending on game compatibility and system requirements.
Audio and haptics are driven by symmetrical dual 1115E stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, multiple microphones and an 0815 X-axis linear motor for 4D haptic feedback.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, full-function NFC and an infrared blaster.
Redmagic says the phone houses an 8,400mAh battery, which marks a 12% increase in capacity over the previous model. It supports 120W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging and bypass charging to feed power directly to the motherboard during intense gaming sessions without generating unnecessary battery heat.
Out of the box, the handset boots Redmagic OS 12 with an ad-free interface, the MORA AI companion, an AI Magic Island status bar for delivery or ride-hailing notifications and cross-device file sharing compatible with iOS.
