Sarawak Premier Cup final stays in Kuching

By Gabriel Lihan · 9 Oct, 17:51 MYT

KUCHING : The 2026 Sarawak Premier Cup final will stay in Kuching, with the Sarawak Football Association (FAS) ruling out plans to move the match to another division.

FAS’ President, Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said the final of the state-level competition would remain in Kuching as originally planned, with the match scheduled for either November 7 or 14.

“The final of the 2026 Sarawak Premier Cup will remain in Kuching. We have no plans to stage it in any other division,” he told Sarawak Tribune recently.

The second edition of the Sarawak Premier Cup features eight teams from the 2026 Sarawak Premier League (SPL), comprising the top four teams from each of the North and South zones.

The quarter-finals will be played over two legs on October 10 and 17, followed by the semi-finals on October 24 and 31, with both stages also featuring home-and-away ties.

The knockout rounds are expected to produce closely contested matches as the teams battle for a place in the final and a chance to lift the trophy.

Bintulu were crowned champions of the inaugural 2025/2026 edition of the Sarawak Premier Cup.
