KUALA TERENGGANU : Department heads in the public service sector can leverage the Hybrid Workday (HBH) Policy to adapt to haze conditions in their respective states.
Public Service Department (PSD) director-general Tan Sri Dr. Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz said that department heads may employ appropriate methods under the HBH framework to ensure that work deliverables or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for every civil servant are met.
“We have already implemented this hybrid work schedule, and in the context of the current haze, it is essentially a matter of the situation coinciding.
“Therefore, it is up to the department heads to make use of this arrangement. We can certainly utilise the HBH Policy. However, the most important aspect is that KPIs must be established to ensure that output is maintained, even when working in a hybrid manner during these haze conditions,” he said following the ‘Santuni Pesara’ programme held around Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus today.
Also present was the Terengganu Federal Development Department director Datuk Abdul Kahar Abdul Latif.
During the programme, Wan Ahmad Dahlan took the time to visit and present cash contributions as well as basic necessities to three families of retired government servants — Soh Kim Seah, 90; and Rosnani Abdullah, 73; and Mohd Saadum Che Embong, 69.
Meanwhile, he said that the provision of a special financial assistance of RM750 to over one million government retirees, as outlined in Budget 2027, demonstrates the government’s concern for the contributions made by this group.
He noted that the contributions of retirees to national development throughout their years of service are of immense value and should not be forgotten.
“This clearly shows that the government has never neglected retirees who have served the nation. The ‘Santuni Pesara’ programme is also one of the initiatives implemented to honour their contributions,” he added. – BERNAMA
