PRS Baleh unanimously supports Nicholas Kudi to defend seat

By Andy Chua · 11 Oct, 15:24 MYT

SIBU : Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Division N.64 Baleh unanimously supports the re-nomination of the incumbent Baleh assemblyman, Nicholas Kudi Jantai, to defend the seat in the 13th Sarawak State Election (PRN) for PRS on the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) ticket.

The matter was decided through a resolution of the PRS Division N.64 Baleh 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Hotel Meligai, Kapit today.

The meeting, chaired by PRS Division N.64 Baleh Chairman, Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, reflected the unanimous stance of the divisional leadership to continue to give Nicholas the mandate to represent the Baleh constituency in the upcoming election.

Nicholas, who is also the Deputy Chairman of PRS’ Baleh Division, is the incumbent for the N.64 Baleh seat and has now been given the division’s official support to defend the seat under the GPS coalition.

The meeting also expressed full and unwavering support for the leadership of Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, and maintained support for the PRS President, Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai.

The meeting also expressed support for Wilson’s leadership as the Chairman of the N.64 Baleh Division PRS.

In another resolution, the PRS’ Baleh Division urged Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) to pay serious attention to the aspects of safety and harmony at the construction site of the Baleh Hydroelectric Project.

The meeting also emphasised the need to intensify infrastructure development in rural areas, especially the construction of roads to improve communication facilities and support the development of the area.

The AGM was also attended by Nicholas Kudi; PRS Baleh Division’s Vice-Chairman, Bakat Gira; Divisional Secretary, Gare Timbang; Treasurer, Anggas Salang; Head of Publicity, Jayati Bunsu; Head of Women’s Wing, Madu Lanting; and Head of the Youth Division and Central PRS Youth Wing exco, Omar Masam.
