PETALING JAYA: The new autonomous electric bus service in Putrajaya runs eight daily trips, serving five stops along a circular route from MRT Putrajaya Sentral.

According to Putrajaya Corporation, the P113 route which was launched on Wednesday, starts and ends at MRT Putrajaya Sentral. Its stops include the Finance Ministry, Palace of Justice, Youth and Sports Ministry, Dataran Gemilang, and the Putrajaya Corporation (PP) Complex.

Buses run four morning trips at 7.15am, 8.15am, 9.15am, and 10.15am, followed by four afternoon trips at 2.45pm, 3.45pm, 4.45pm, and 5.45pm.

The one-way fare is RM1, with payment accepted only through Mastercard or Visa debit or credit cards.

The electric bus for the driver-less service is provided by Malaysian startup eMooVit Technology and operated by Handal Indah.

eMooVit trialled its autonomous buses in Putrajaya in 2024, fitting each vehicle with self-driving sensors – including LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), radar and 360-degree cameras.
