LONDON: Pengendali Fulham, Alvaro Arbeloa, didenda 25,000 pound (RM135,383) oleh Persatuan Bolasepak England (FA) selepas mendakwa pegawai perlawanan tidak akan membiarkan Manchester United tewas.
Arbeloa mengeluarkan kenyataan itu selepas Fulham seri 1-1 dengan Manchester United dalam aksi Liga Perdana Inggeris (EPL) di Craven Cottage, September lalu.
Dalam perlawanan berkenaan, Matheus Cunha menjaringkan gol penyamaan buat United pada minit ke-89 untuk memastikan kedua-dua pasukan berkongsi mata.
Arbeloa, yang mengakui pertuduhan terhadapnya, turut diberikan amaran oleh FA berhubung kenyataan berkenaan.
Menurut FA, pengendali dari Sepanyol itu bertindak secara tidak wajar apabila mengeluarkan kenyataan dalam temu bual selepas perlawanan yang membayangkan wujud sikap berat sebelah dan/atau mempersoalkan integriti pegawai perlawanan.
Fulham kini menghuni tangga tercorot EPL selepas hanya mengutip dua mata daripada enam perlawanan pembukaan musim ini.
