Foreign Man Helps Clear Blocked Drain By Picking Up Rubbish After Heavy Rain In Damansara | WeirdKaya

By Nanthini Suresh · 18 Oct, 16:51 MYT

Sometimes, a small act of care is enough to leave a lasting impression.

For one Malaysian, it was watching a man clear leaves and rubbish from a blocked drain after heavy rain in Damansara.

With water accumulating in the area, the man took the initiative to remove the blockage, helping the water flow again.

Took the initiative to help

Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the witness, Hugen said they recorded the scene at around 4.20pm yesterday near Lembah Subang LRT station.

According to the witness, leaves and rubbish had clogged the drains, causing water to collect in several spots after the downpour.

The man, whom the witness described as a foreigner, picked up the rubbish blocking the drain so the accumulated water could drain away.

It was a simple gesture, but one that meant enough to the witness for them to capture it and share it with others.

‘Something everyone in our country should follow’

Reflecting on the moment, the witness hoped the video would encourage others to show the same care for their surroundings.

It shows a good example of responsibility and something that everyone in our country should follow,” they told WeirdKaya.

As the water began flowing again, his small effort offered a gentle reminder that caring for a shared space can start with just one person willing to help.
