Wan Junaidi, Fauziah celebrate daughter’s graduation

KUALA LUMPUR : Sarawak Tribune reporter Sharifah Nong-Jasima has achieved a significant academic milestone after graduating with a Bachelor of Communication with Honours from Open University Malaysia (OUM).

She received her degree at OUM’s 31st Convocation Ceremony held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur today(17 Oct), with her parents, Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, present to celebrate the proud occasion.

The ceremony marked the culmination of Sharifah’s academic journey, reflecting her perseverance, commitment and dedication to furthering her education in communication.

Her parents expressed their gratitude and pride in her achievement, acknowledging the determination, patience and sacrifices required to complete her studies.

Their arrival at the ceremony was welcomed by OUM Chancellor Tan Sri Datuk Seri Azman Hashim, OUM Board of Governors chairman Datuk Paduka Professor Emeritus Dr Muhamad Awang, and OUM President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Ahmad Ezanee Awang.

She received her degree from the OUM Chancellor during the ceremony.

Also present to share in the celebration were close family members, including Sharifah Nuriel Barieyah, her husband Muhammad Nur Hakeem, Tasnim and their granddaughter, Athena.

Wan Junaidi and Fauziah congratulated Sharifah on her academic accomplishment and expressed hope that the knowledge and experience gained would benefit her career and enable her to make meaningful contributions to society.

The convocation was a memorable occasion for the family, who witnessed Sharifah’s achievement following her hard work and dedication throughout her studies.
