[KiniNews] Hassan Abdul Karim has commented on Nurul Izzah Anwar's decision to step back from active politics.
Speaking on KiniTV’s "Explain Sikit" podcast, hosted by Malaysiakini editors Yiswaree Palansamy and Jimadie Shah Othman, Hassan denied feeling betrayed but admitted he now regrets backing her bid against Rafizi Ramli for the PKR deputy presidency race last May.
"When a leader goes missing in action and leaves the battleground, the grassroots lose confidence. I was one of her strongest supporters, yet even I feel aggrieved and uneasy," he lamented.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Jelutong MP RSN Rayer has called on the Prison Department to publicly disclose the terms and conditions of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak’s house arrest.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Rayer said the arrangement had attracted considerable public attention and people deserved to know what Najib would be allowed to do.
