Suspicious packages at Nilai, Tampin schools: MOE leaves probe to police, says Fadhlina
MELAKA, Oct 17 — The Education Ministry (MOE) has left the investigation into the discovery of suspicious packages at several schools in Negeri Sembilan yesterday to the police.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said the ministry always adopts a vigilant approach towards the discovery of any suspicious items at schools nationwide.
“We urge all principals, headmasters and school personnel to remain vigilant and prepared, especially when it comes to matters involving school safety.
“Once again, we would like to thank the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for ensuring that all aspects of security are given priority,” she said.
She was speaking to reporters after officiating the ‘Fadhlina Membaca’ Women’s Reading Club with the Education Minister here today.
Yesterday, Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that police had received nine reports concerning the discovery of suspicious packages at several schools in Nilai and Tampin.
