Here Are the 3 Commercial Solutions Samsung Just Showcased for Businesses in Southeast Asia
Samsung hosted regional media from across Southeast Asia at The Brief event in Hanoi, Vietnam, unveiling an expanded enterprise portfolio at its newly opened Business Experience Studio.
While best known for its consumer white goods, the company placed a heavy emphasis on commercial-grade hardware and software designed for environments like hospitality, corporate offices, and data centres.
“Samsung’s ambition has always been to deliver new innovations and we have demonstrated how technology can truly add value through our broad range of AI-enabled products and solutions for consumers and businesses,” said Bernard Ang, Regional Head of Home Appliances and Vice President at Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania.
“Our line-ups are designed to meet real-user needs and as we continue to introduce new innovations, we will focus on expanding the reach of products to benefit more customers, enhance AI experiences for further convenience and personalisation, and strengthen the reliability and durability of appliances for both homes and enterprises.”
Here is a closer look at the three commercial solutions Samsung spotlighted at the showcase.
1. High-Turnover Commercial Laundry with Fleet Controls
Targeting laundromats, hotels, and multi-unit residential facilities, Samsung introduced heavy-duty laundry pairs designed to handle high continuous volume without sacrificing cycle speed. The lineup features an 18kg washer capable of cleaning bulky items like king-sized bedding in 36 minutes using Bubble Wash technology, paired with a 14kg vented dryer that completes heavy loads within 45 minutes.
To handle continuous daily operation, the washer integrates Vibration Reduction Technology Plus (VRT+) to minimise mechanical wear on internal components. Operational management is also built directly into the machines: an on-device “Manager Mode” allows facility operators to calibrate water levels and rinse stages manually, while built-in Wi-Fi enables remote status and performance monitoring across the entire fleet.
2. Industrial-Scale HVAC Powered by FläktGroup
Samsung’s climate control portfolio is pushing beyond typical commercial spaces into mission-critical, enterprise-scale cooling. The foundation of this expansion rests on Samsung’s acquisition of European HVAC specialist FläktGroup, bringing over a century of air-handling engineering into the company’s ecosystem.
With FläktGroup’s technological backing, Samsung is positioning its HVAC solutions for demanding industrial environments, specifically targeting high-heat facilities like data centres. This heavy infrastructure links directly with Samsung’s connected controls, allowing operators to oversee facility-wide air conditioning and ventilation systematically rather than relying on isolated room thermostats.
3. SmartThings Pro: Multi-Site Enterprise IoT Management
To bridge individual commercial appliances into a single operational interface, Samsung showcased SmartThings Pro, its dedicated B2B IoT platform. Engineered for retail stores, hospitality chains, and corporate offices, the system essentially functions as an accessible building management system.
Through customised dashboards, facility managers can monitor connected HVAC systems and appliances across multiple property sites simultaneously. The platform provides real-time energy monitoring and automation routines to rein in utility costs, and it includes enterprise API integrations so businesses can plug appliance telemetry directly into their existing building management software.
While Samsung has not yet detailed specific regional rollout dates, the showcase makes it clear that the brand is focused on running commercial back-end infrastructure alongside its traditional living room appliances.
