KUCHING : Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is undergoing routine treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN), received a visit from Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud on Thursday (Oct 15).
The visit came a little over two weeks after the passing of Dr Mahathir’s wife of 70 years, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, on Sept 28.
It was not the first visit Dr Mahathir had received during this period. On Oct 4, Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah also visited him at IJN while in Malaysia, with Prince Abdul Mateen among the Brunei delegation.
Since Siti Hasmah’s passing, the 101-year-old former prime minister has continued receiving treatment while adjusting to a markedly different chapter of life – one without the woman who had been beside him for seven decades.
