PHILIPPINE Airlines will restore direct flights between Saipan and Manila on Oct. 26, reconnecting the CNMI to the Philippines and other Asian destinations ahead of the holiday travel season.
The Philippine flag carrier announced the restored service in a press release dated Oct. 1.
PAL said the route will connect Saipan travelers through its Manila hub to destinations across the Philippines, including Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Palawan, Iloilo and Davao.
Passengers can also connect through Manila to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur, the airline said.
PAL said the route will serve tourism, business, education and medical travel, as well as residents visiting family and friends. The airline also said the direct link from Manila will support travel to Saipan and strengthen ties between the Philippines and the CNMI.
Flights may be booked through the PAL website, mobile app, reservations hotline, ticket offices and accredited travel agents.
PAL operates nonstop flights from its Manila and Cebu hubs to 29 destinations in the Philippines and 40 international destinations in Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
