KAPIT: A woman narrowly escaped serious danger after her car skidded off the road and plunged down a hillside, coming to a stop among bamboo clumps opposite Kapit Hospital yesterday (Oct 12).
The 30-year-old was still inside the Perodua Bezza when emergency responders arrived.
Firefighters from Kapit station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call at 5.42pm.
Upon arrival, the team first secured the vehicle with a rescue rope before assisting the driver out of the vehicle to safety.
The woman complained of pain around her waist and was handed over to paramedics for further treatment.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 6.20pm.
